    FAUMC Programming and Parent Covenant

FAUMC recruits and relies on volunteers for our programs.  Volunteers are giving of their time to put together meaningful lessons and to connect with our children.
    1. I agree to pick up my child/ren promptly when programming ends.
    2. I agree that when my child is not participating in a church sponsored program at the church, they will be supervised by a Parent/Guardian.
    3. I understand that our programs are supported and run by volunteers and that appropriate behavior is expected from all children. If necessary, I will be receptive to creating a behavior plan for my child.

FAUMC is intent on creating a safe environment.  Committed to our Safe Sanctuary Policy, it is important that children are supervised by either a parent/guardian or program volunteer while in the building.
    1. If I’m unavailable after programming, I understand it is my responsibility to make arrangements for my 5th grade and younger child/ren to go directly to childcare or have another adult assume responsibility for my child/ren.
    2. I agree to supervise my child during mealtime in order to make the program meaningful and safe for everyone.

The Explorers at Fairmount Avenue United Methodist Church are curious kiddos, exploring the world around us and the faith within us.  All children grades PreK-5th are invited to join the fun!

Sunday mornings:
Explorers Sunday School - Grow

Explorers Sunday School is Sunday mornings from 9-10am, prior to the worship service.
Explorers will begin each Sunday with a full-group gathering and games, before splitting into age-group classes. In their classes, they will be following the Grow Kids curriculum, growing and deepening their faith through Bible stories, crafts, games, and experiments.

September 18-October 9--Blast Off! Get ready to LAUNCH your faith.
October 16-November 13--Staycation; Abraham started God's family, and you're part of the family, too.

Children’s Time
Children are welcome in Sunday morning worship and are invited to participate in Children's Time at the beginning of the worship service.  Following Children's Time, nursery care is available for children up to age 5.

Wednesday evenings:
Explorers T.G.I.W. "Thank God It's Wednesday" - Living, Loving, Learning
Explorers T.G.I.W. will be Wednesday evenings from 6:30-7:30pm.
Wednesday evenings are about LIVING our faith, LOVING God and each other, and LEARNING about the world around us. Explore these and more through games, music, and activities every evening. In addition, this year will have a service emphasis, with monthly service activities outside of the church.

In order to maximize the health and safety of our community during in person programming, please plan to have one parent/adult accompany your child on Wednesday evenings.
