Confirmation

Confirmation is for students in 8th grade and older who are ready to take the next step in their faith journey and make a public statement of faith.  Confirmation students spend one year studying, serving, and thinking about their faith.  It is a time for students to confirm that the promises made at their baptism to raise these young people to a personal understanding of their faith have been kept, and they are now ready to 'own' their faith journey for themselves.  
Confirmation meets twice per month with retreats, trips, and service projects mixed into the year.  Questions?  Contact Pastor Shawna.

Confirmation Students - Current Homework 2.10.19

1. Watch the sermon by Bishop Ough.  Listen for one thing that inspires or challenges you.  Write it down to share with the class at our next session.
2. Pick a sermon by John Wesley and read it.  It will be hard to read, remember it was written 300 years ago.  Even when it's hard, keep going.  Write down one question, inspiring thought, challenge, or interesting point to share with the group.
